Poetry of the Day: Downpour

Here is another poem of mine! I hope you enjoy it. I will be getting to Poet of the Day again soon, I apologize for that. 😀

Downpour

Outside the sun shines brightly
No cloud takes up the sky
Even the moon shows itself
But inside this prison it’s dreary
Rain comes down in sheets
Causing power outages and flooding
From my eyes it keeps pouring down
Sitting in misery, longing, and desire
Pain comes back to settle in
And the rain keeps on coming
Causing a downpour
